On episode 31 of take5: The Rethink Marketing Podcast, we look at the idea or problem of being too focused on your targeted marketing and audience segmentation. The idea of looking for the perfect client or customer, while enticing, can lead to targeting yourself right out of the acquisition conversation. We have become so focused on finding the perfect fit that we are losing out on the opportunity to convert good fits, likely fits, and potential fits. While the idea of finding the UNICORN would certainly be fun and fantastical it is not the best use of our time or sales and marketing resources!
